Leeds has the second largest student population outside London. There are two international universities, the University of Leeds and Leeds Metropolitan University, plus several other specialist colleges such as St James Teaching Hospital and Trinity & All Saints College.

 

Diversity

Leeds is an ethnically diverse city, with many races and religions. The majority of the population is white (85%), followed by an Asian population of 7.7%. Black and black British residents make up 3.5% of the population.
